PA Congressman Tim Murphy Ireland Update
admin | March 9th, 2010 | No Comments »I received this communique today from PA Congressman Tim Murphy – also a member of AOH Sean MacBride Division #32, Carnegie, PA – and thought you’d find it interesting – Webmaster, Steve Wayhart.
Dear Steve,
With the upcoming vote in Northern Ireland on the Agreement at Hillsborough Castle, I want to share with you the following news articles referring to the efforts of the Congressional Friends of Ireland Caucus on which I serve as Vice-Chairman.
While the Good Friday agreement brought a ceasefire to the troubles, the Hillsborough agreement is the final step in the peace and self-governance for Northern Ireland that represents the wishes of the majority. Our hope is that the vote tomorrow reflects the desires of the people of Northern Ireland.
I look forward to continuing to work with you in the future on issues of importance to Irish-Americans. Please feel free to contact me with your input and ideas at 412-344-5583.
Sincerely,
Tim Murphy
